ALLS FAMILIES FAQ

Dear ALLS’ families –

Welcome to Gatepath!   We are very excited to have your family start services at Gatepath.  As parents and therapists, we know that the first thing you are wondering is how this will affect your child and your family. We are working closely with ALLS staff to ensure the transition is as smooth and seamless as possible. The most important thing to us is that we maintain and provide the same high quality services your family has received with ALLs.  Over the coming weeks we’ll continue to update you on the transition from ALLS to Gatepath.  In the meantime, below is some information that we hope answers many of your questions.

  • Will my child’s therapist change?  Will the admin staff change? Kathy Raeside is staying with Gatepath and will continue to assist with billing and the front desk in Redwood Shores.  If there is any change with your child’s schedule or therapist, we will call you to give you an update on the change.  

  • What if my child has regional center, school district or insurance funded services? For the month of August, your child’s services will continue to be billed through ALLS with your child’s current authorization.  We are in network with all of the same funders as ALLS and we are currently working as a team to get your child’s services authorized with Gatepath.

  • Where will my child be seen for therapy or class? In Redwood Shores, your therapist will continue to see your child at the current ALLS location through late August.  During this time, we will be remodeling our offices a block away so that your child will be seen at our suite at the Sobrato Center for Non-Profits at 350 Twin Dolphin Drive.  In Sunnyvale, Gatepath will continue to see children at the same location.

  • How will billing change? For the month of August, the billing will be done through ALLS and will remain the same for you.  We will keep you updated during the month of August as we refine our processes.

  • What do you need to do as a parent? At your child’s first visit, we will need you to fill out a new HIPPA form for Gatepath as well as a form allowing the sharing of information about your child between ALLS and Gatepath.  All of your child’s intake, treatment and reports will be transitioned to Gatepath’s systems and available to the therapists to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

  • How will you communicate with your therapist? Your child’s therapist will be moving to Gatepath email the first week of August and their ALLS email will be forwarded to their new Gatepath email.  Each therapist will be receiving a cell phone for conducting Gatepath business.  Your therapist will provide you with their new email address and phone number.
