Hang Outs

Hang Outs are social gatherings for young adults ages 13-22 with ASD/HFA. These are opportunities to meet friends, play board games, video games, watch movies, or just kick back and chat. Attendees enjoy pizza, drinks and snacks. The young adults are grouped in separate age appropriate activities.

Film and media arts Classes

Autism Social Connection provides fun and educational classes which have an accepting environment for kids, teens, and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders to help develop and refine their social skills.

These specialized social film making groups are designed to encourage collaboration, creativity, and career exploration in children, teens and young adults with autism spectrum disorders. Sessions help develop social skills and encourage group interaction while teaching valuable lessons in cooperation, time management, and artistic expression. Participants meet in a casual, low-key environment, encouraging conversation and camaraderie, while giving young people hands-on experience with cameras, sound equipment, computer programs, and other aspects of visual media.

Film Classes

Our film classes provide instruction on the filmmaking process, from scripting to directing, camerawork to editing. Participants in these groups are able to listen and take direction as well as be able to effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas with each other.
