Sarah Van Loo Manager of Development

As development manager, Sarah Van Loo  promotes Community Gatepath’s mission through critical fundraising and donor communication endeavors including annual campaigns, grant proposals and special events.  Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University.  Her professional experience includes child counseling, developing and implementing a multi-county homeless prevention program, mentoring adjudicated youth and freelance writing for newspapers and nonprofits.  Prior to joining the Gatepath team, Sarah worked as program officer for the Charlevoix County Community Foundation in Michigan. Sarah relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to join Gatepath’s team.  She enjoys traveling, cooking and running.
