Community Programs


Community Access provides individuals with rich learning experiences in the community whether your participant is interested in employment or social engagement. With an average ratio of one staff to four participants, the program focuses on developing skills for active living and employment in the community. Community Access has groups located throughout San Mateo County.

Depending on your participant’s goals, key areas addressed in the program include:

  • Employment Readiness: developing and strengthening pre-vocational and vocational skills.
  • Community Engagement: volunteering and participating in a diverse range of recreational, educational and cultural opportunities.
  • Personal Health and Nutrition: focusing on personal well-being with exercise and cooking.



An on-campus program at the College of San Mateo providing support to individuals wanting to take integrated college courses and get the college experience by navigating different social environments with students of various backgrounds and abilities.
