Learning and Employment Campus

The majority of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are either unemployed or underemployed, despite their ability, desire, and willingness to work in the community. Gatepath’s Learning and Employment Campus offers classes and hands-on training to help overcome some of the barriers to employment that people with special needs face. Classes focus on the skills need to prepare for the workplace, such as identifying skills, filling out forms, volunteer opportunities, and job coaching. Onsite mock training stations where participants can fine-tune their skills and get hands on experience with what a real workday may entail. The center also offers job coaching, training and placement for adults with developmental disabilities in customer service, entry-level office jobs, retail, product assembly, and other professions.
